Our stay was in Keswick this time about a 10 min walk into the town, staying in a small bungalow on a cul-de-sac.
The week was a mixed bag weather wise, with some rain, a little sun and lists of low mist over the fells most days.
We only completed 2 short walks and no fells but did get some good photographs of the late season sun, as well as the mist for some atmospheric shots.
Surprise View - Late Afternoon
Near Whinlatter Forest - Mid-Morning
Whinlatter Forest
A opportune shot spotted by Susan as we drove from Keswick past Whinlatter Forest. I stopped the car at the best opportunity and walked back the short distance to capture the sun shining through the forest. After 10 minutes or so it had gone and the moment had passed. Not before I captured a few good shots though.
Buttermere
A walk around Buttermere with lots of low cloud giving an atmospheric feel to the shots I took.
Tarn Hows
Another even mistier day, gain plenty of atmosphere to these shots
Hi Graham,
ReplyDeleteA smashing set of photos. A great time of year to be in the Lakes. I particularly like the mist ones. We keep our caravan up there so get up quite a bit. Your mum and dad (in-law?) passed on your blog address. I write the Nature Notes for the Parish Mag. Most of my shots are on my blogsite at mikesnaturalmusings.blogspot.co.uk
Regards
Mike
